"The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult; the day he forgives himself, he becomes wise."

About Me

There are over one million parents in prison...and I'm one of them.

Hello and thank you for taking time out to visit Pennies for Prison.  My name is Matt.  I'm currently serving a 5 year term in a low security federal prison.  But the most important thing you need to know about me, is that I'm a father who is behind bars.  This site was developed to assist and raise money to create more parenting prison programs in the United States.

I have always wanted to help people. The idea for Pennies for Prison popped in my mind early one morning before my prison sentence started.  I hope that this fundraising project can make a difference in families lives by strengthing and creating a stronger bond even behind bars.

My goal, over my entire 5 year sentence, which will end around December 2012,  is to raise as many "pennies" as possible.
Will you help?  If so, I thank you for your generosity!
